Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does it take for a design to be completed?

The timescale of a project is generally dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind I will endeavor to meet it for you. As the timescale in part depends on the complexity of the website, I will provide you with your estimate upon consultation.

Q: I would like you to design my site, what do I need to do now/what is the process?

If you would like to use my services, send me a brief idea of your requirements. I can then begin a consultation with you (the client) and plan out the website in further detail. During this process I may give you an estimate of timeframe and prices. Once you receive the estimate, you will have to confirm that you agree to the estimated cost. Now I (the designer) will begin building your website to your specifications. You will be asked to provide the content for your website. The designer will then send you the results and you will have the opportunity to provide feedback for changes and/or improvements. When the project is half way completed you will be asked to pay 50% of the total cost. The remaining 50% will be paid after the project has been completed.

Q: Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?

Yes. If you request, we will walk you through the process of purchasing a hosting account and registration of a domain name. Otherwise you will be responsible for finding a host.

Q: What happens when I complete your contact form?

You will be contacted shortly by the web designer who will answer any questions you may have and begin to walk you through the process.

Q: Do I need to send a deposit for the work?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit on all projects. You can pay securely with PayPal. As a courtesy we will only ask for it after the work has begun, but you can send it earlier if you prefer.

Q: What after sales support do you offer?

I provide free maintenance for your new website at 1hr/month for the first three months. We offer additional maintenance services at an hourly rate on existing websites. For additional information about on-going maintenance of your site or web sites read our guide on the site updates and maintenance.
